Is she? You wanna ask yourself what you just did.

Think about it, when someone usually asks you "Are you ok?" you never answer "I'm fine". So when you hear it, don't believe it.
AND, she knows you know she's not fine. Pretending otherwise would be abysmal.

So after the "Are you ok?" how to minimize the damage?
  What NOT to do:

• Say "Calm down"
• Ask  "What did i do now?" It will only work to your disadvantage
• Fake it

  What to do:

• Be as upset as her
• Be upset at yourself
• Admit that mistake (even if you don't agree)
• Make sure it's the right one
• Always apologize
